International Collaboration
The team is comprised of researchers from the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida (Gainesville, Florida, USA) and the Graduate School of Automotive Engineering at Kookmin University (Seoul, Republic of Korea). The schools have collaborated since 2000 with several extended faculty and student exchanges occurring.
History at Competitions
The team has collaborated and competed in both DARPA Grand Challenges (2004, 2005) and the DARPA Urban Challenge (2007). The team reached the final round in the first two competitions.
In addition the Florida team has competed in over twenty AUVSI Underwater Vehicle competitions (winning three times) and has competed twice in the AUVSI Maritime RobotX competition (winning in 2016 and finishing in fourth place in 2018).
